All 2021 Acura TLX sedans available at the Acura of Modesto showroom use the same powertrain equipment. A turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine will be attached to a 10-speed automatic transmission under the hood of the 2021 TLX. Front-wheel-drive is standard, but the Acura Super Handling All-Wheel Driveâ„¢ system can be added to any of the available four TLX trim grades.
Owners of the 2021 Acura TLX can expect it to produce up to 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The 2021 Toyota Camry also starts with a four-cylinder engine, but it is naturally aspirated, and it will make just 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.
Toyota also makes a V-6 engine available that will make about 300 horsepower. However, customers choosing a 2021 Camry with that engine won’t have access to the newly introduced all-wheel-drive capability, it is only available on select four-cylinder Camry models.
In terms connectivity technology, the 2021 Acura TLX and 2021 Toyota Camry are very evenly matched. Both sedans offer access to a smartphone-compatible infotainment system (Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™) on all models. Additionally, both the 2021 TLX and 2021 Camry offer a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot across both sedan’s trim ladders.
