Any crossover that enters the 2021 class is going to be up against some very tough competition. For quite some time, the Acura RDX has easily handled each challenger that it battled. For the upcoming model year, the performance specs and features for the 2021 Acura RDX will just be a logical continuation of that success. Acura of Modesto has taken delivery of a few 2021 RDX models. When the automaker’s production hits its crescendo, customers will be able to choose among three trim grades, RDX (base trim), Technology, A-Spec and Advance. Now that we’ve had a chance to take a closer look at the latest RDX, Acura of Modesto product experts are pretty excited to share what they have learned. Let’s see what they found.

How much horsepower does the 2021 RDX have?
All four versions of the 2021 Acura RDX that are available at Acura of Modesto, or will be coming in the future, will use the same powertrain. A turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine is under the hood and it is attached to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but the manufacturer’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ system is an available option for most models. Regardless of which drivetrain is employed, each 2021 RDX will be able to produce 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque.
The 2021 Acura RDX offers two rows of seats that can easily, comfortably and safely hold up to five passengers. Every trim grade of the 2021 RDX will up to 42 inches of legroom for the driver and front passenger and up to 38 inches of legroom for the people sitting in the back seat. Additionally, when the 2021 RDX is holding passengers in the backseat, there will still be 29.5 cubic-feet of cargo volume to use. Folding the rear seat down will open the cargo bay up to make 58.9 cubic-feet available.
Any version of the 2021 Acura RDX that a customer chooses to take home from the Acura of Modesto showroom will be equipped with some of the most advanced technology the automaker has to offer. Every trim grade is equipped with AcuraLink® Connected Services as well as access to the Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ suites of applications. USB charging ports in the front seat of the 2021 RDX are standard equipment, however, Technology, A-Spec and Advance models offer additional charging options to rear passengers.
